I have been playing the cello since I was 4 years old. Not sure if you could classify me as a child prodigy but I did play Mary had a Little Lamb by 4 and a half. Seriously though being a part of an Orchestra has been a big part of my life not long after that and I am writing this blog in celebration of my life’s work with strings. I am now an Orchestra teacher at North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. Now it is my life’s work to encourage and foster this interest in Strings and Orchestra with a new generation of players, the classics of Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, and Haydn; the Bavarian rock stars of their day must live on. This blog is partially a flag ship of our orchestra team at Central, you will see many posts about my work with these students, but it is also just a tribute to the orchestral world at large.
